From Farm Life to the Mrs. North Dakota International Stage

Tara Emerson, a self-described “farm wife,” never expected to find herself in a pageant, let alone win. Her journey began at a local Pumpkinfest pageant she attended with her daughter, where a casual invitation led her to enter the Mrs. North Dakota International competition. What started as a surprise opportunity became a powerful experience of self-discovery and growth. For Tara, the pageant wasn’t about glamour, it was about showing up authentically as a mom, wife, and woman of resilience. Against all odds, she won the crown and now uses her platform to advocate for children’s mental health, blending motherhood, farm life, and purpose into one unforgettable journey.
